Cassandra has almost 20 years of softball experience, 8 as a high school and college coach.
Coach Moore is an Americorps VISTA Alumni (2008), and began coaching in service to her local Little League Organization in Charlotte, NC. She went on to coach at Cuthbertson High School in Waxhaw, NC, a program which regularly sends their grads to Division I, II, and III colleges.
In 2013, she was hired as the head coach at Genesee College in Batavia, New York. Cassandra coached her Genesee squad to the first conference championship in school history, with an overall record of 25-11, including a perfect 7-0 WNYAC record as well as an appearance in the NJCAA Region 3 Championship Game. At the end of the 2015 season, she was named WNYAC Coach of the Year
As a collegiate athlete, Cassandra was the captain of her Mars Hill University team (DII) in North Carolina.
Currently pursuing her Master’s Degree in Education at Fort Hays State University, she holds a B.A. from Mars Hill University, graduating magna cum laude with a degree in English. She also holds a 200-hr RYT certification in the principles of yoga and frequently inputs the fundamentals of balance, core control, and mental readiness into her softball philosophy.
Cassandra has coached all aspects of the game, including slapping, power hitting, defense, and pitching. She has taught players — from novice to advanced — in a variety of settings, from one-on-one lessons to camps and clinics. Cassandra prides herself on her ability to transform players of all ages and backgrounds into competitive athletes.
