BASH SUMMER CAMP PROTOCOLS AND PROCEDURES FOR 2021

1. Summer Camp players will be put into groups with a maximum 10 players to a group. The same kids will be in the same group each day, with the same instructors. No mingling between the groups. There may be times when the groups compete against each other, but we will adhere to CDC guidelines of 6 feet between players from different groups.

2. Groups will be as age specific as possible. Please email us at bashsportsacademy@gmail.com if you wish your child(ren) to be in a group with any friends. We will make every effort to keep friends together.

3. Morning and afternoon sessions. No overlap. Players registering for full-day camp will be in groups only with other full-day participants.

4. Players will be reminded to stay at least 6 feet apart at all times.

5. Camp participants are required to wear masks unless they are on the field and appropriately distanced.

6. Each day, children will be verbally screened for any symptoms of or exposure to Covid-19. We ask that camp participants and families self-report to camp staff if they have symptoms of Covid-19, a positive test for Covid-19 or were exposed to someone with Covid-19 within the last 14 days.

7. Each day staff will be screened for any symptoms of or exposure to Covid-19. See #7 above for staff self-reporting requirement.

8. Parents need to make their own decisions as to the level of risk they are willing to accept. However, if your child(ren) has conditions that put them at higher risk of dire complications from Covid-19, such as diabetes or asthma. please consult your physician before registering.

9. Please make sure your child has his/her own equipment each time they come to camp. We will discourage sharing of equipment.

10. The water fountains will not be in use. Each child must bring his/her own water bottle.

11. Bash will have plenty of hand sanitizer on hand and will remind each player to use it often.

12. Kids will be kids and there may be times they inadvertently end up too close together. Instructors will be watching for that and will correct it immediately. However, any player willfully disobeying safety rules will be sent home. There will be zero tolerance for behavior that puts anyone else at risk.

13. At any time, if we see that a child is feeling sick, we’re going to have to send him/her home. We aren’t doctors and we can’t diagnose, but we will always err on the side of caution.

14. Rules may change — additions or subtractions may occur based on new information or guidelines changes from the City of Chicago, State of Illinois or CDC.
