Emily Richardson, Softball Pitching

Emily Richardson grew up in Oak Park and played for the powerhouse Windmills travel organization. She went on to pitch at Oak Park River Forest High School, leading them to a State Championship in 2016. She was selected 1st team All-State that same season.

The following season Emily started her collegiate softball career at Valparaiso University. In the 2018 season, she pitched in 27 games, sporting an excellent ERA of 2.71 and pitching only the 4th no-hitter in Valpo’s history.

Emily teaches biology and anatomy and physiology at Amundsen High School, where she is also the Varsity head softball coach.
