Kendall King, Pitching, Hitting, Defense

Coach Kendall played his high school baseball in the south suburbs at Homewood-Flossmoor. A pitcher and infielder, he was named team captain senior year and earned a scholarship to play at Western Illinois University.

Kendall played infield at Western for two years and started as a true freshman. He finished his college career playing for Georgetown College and graduated with a B.S. in Science.

During college, King played summer baseball for the Southland Vikings and in 2014 helped the Vikings win the prestigious Collegiate League Championship.

Also, while in college, he worked with the youth players in the Jackie Robinson Little League, teaching defense.

In 2020, playing for the Beecher Muskies, Coach Kendall was named the Player of the Year in the Chicago Suburban Baseball League, a semi-pro league that features many of the area’s finest college, former college, future and former professional players.
