Kate Sisson, Softball Pitching, Defense
Coach Sisson grew up in southern Indiana and played travel softball for the Indy Impact. She was originally a catcher, but started pitching at 12 years old (proof you don’t have to start pitching at a very young age to be successful!).
During her senior season at Martinsville High School, Kate pitched to a sparkling 1.80 earned run average, paving the way for her to play at Roosevelt University.
While at Roosevelt, she set several school records:
Most strikeouts in a game (17)
Most strikeouts in a career (402)
Most strike outs in a season (130)
Most wins in a career (40)
Most complete game shutouts in a career (12)
Pitching Awards/School Records while at Roosevelt:
Named 1st Team All-CCAC 2021
Twice named Academic All-CCAC
Kate graduated in May, 2024 with a Bachelor of Arts in Paralegal Studies with minors in Biology and Sustainability Studies and currently works at a law firm as a research and writing paralegal.
Book her for pitching lessons, hitting lessons or defensive position lessons, as well.
