Tim Varallo, Hitting, Defense
Coach Tim has been teaching at Bash since 2017. He moved to the suburbs in late 2024 but missed us and has come back for more!
Tim grew up on the Northwest side of Chicago and learned the game of baseball playing at Norwood Park. He attended St. Patrick High School where he played for four years, splitting time between second base, catcher, and all three outfield positions. His hitting coach at St. Pat’s, one of the most respected hitting coaches in Chicago for decades, recommended Tim to Bash.
He went on to attend Dominican University in River Forest, where he started in the outfield for four years. When he arrived, Domican was rebuilding a struggling program. But with players like Tim coming in, they turned things around. Tim was a two-time Captain and ended up being part of the two winningest teams in Dominican history.
Tim has coached and instructed players of all ages and skill levels. He has done thousands of lessons in the many years he has been at Bash. He likes to instill in players the same passion and love for the game that he has. He prides himself on teaching hard work, defense, as well as the mental aspect of playing the great game of baseball.
We’re very excited to have Tim back where he belongs!
